It was indeed a "Welcome" day at Wrigley Field... well, at least for 8 innings. I'll not bore you with the gory details, but to paraphrase Simon and Garfunkel... "Where have you gone, Joe Borowski? Our bullpen turns its lonely eyes to you, woo woo woo" Other than the extra-inning 6-3 loss, it was a glorious opening day -- weather was spectacular, sunshine was bright, and Billy Corgan was simply smashing. Only five balls came out in batting practice and none during the game - yep, it was Nor'easter wind. Lots of media types, all angling for that unique human interest story yet all asking the same questions.
