A little warmer and a little less windy, so a little more activity on the street - at least during batting practice. Still - it's almost June and we really haven't broken a sweat yet. I'm sure come August when it's 105, I'll be crying a different tune though.
Weird sight of the day: Guy comes walking down Waveland carrying a bundle of firewood in each hand. Firewood -- in May??? Hope that's not an omen... Cubs lose 5-1. Last night Cubs go against a future Hall-of-Famer Roger Clemens and win - ok, so Cubs didn't do most of their damage until after the Rocket left, but still... Tonight, Cubs go against some converted outfielder Brandon Backe, with Greg Maddux on the mound no less, and don't do squat. Go figure...
